Prefer to worry about ourselves, we are not far off from meltdown the way results are going!

I don't give a monkey's toss about Chester but on balance it's probably better for us if they stay (below) us in the National League.

Given that all clubs, including ourselves, attract a proportion of violent 'followers' Chester managed to achieve a high proportion against the little support they get.

They have an awful ground, a very poor team and with respect to their small amount of genuine supporters, no committed support.

Best ignored really.

Considering the small playing budget they have they always seem to attract some decent players who move on to bigger clubs. It would be nice to think that both Wrexham FC and Chester FC could put decent sides out as we had in the distant past I am afraid the standards at both clubs has deteriorated over the years and will continue to do so without finances money talks in football and at this level it is even more apparent.

The thread where someone states it almost 25years to the day since they moved to the Deva and somthing should of been done to celebrate and help bring some money in has ended me.

They could only pull a dozen fans when the club was dieing who were bothered to do something. Who's going to celebrate moving to a ground with less than half the capacity at a dead end of an cul de sac at the bottom of an industrial estate. They would of been better off staying in Macclesfield.

I don't buy into all this hating Chester crap, yes it's good to have a healthy rivalry but at the end of the day they, like us, are a fan owned club. They are our closest rivals and the cross border thing adds a bit of spice but I think any grown up would realise that this rivalry should be beneficial to both clubs. Any match between us adds a few thousand to the gate and generates a lot of interest. It is only the less intelligent followers of both clubs who see this as a platform for violence and hatred. Wrexham would be less of a football club without Chester and vice versa. And we are both supporting a model of ownership that defines the purest sense of a "football club". Like it or not, having a bitter rival down the road is actually better for us (and them) than not having one.

Just like us they were robbed and stripped of assets. The ground they have is more than fit for purpose for this league in fact the actual playing surface is one of the best . I am sure the true Chester fans are just as disappointed as we are reflecting on the decline of our respective clubs. Basically we are no better off than them other than the fact we have a greater fan base although ours could decline rapidly over the next 10 years.

But let's not forget , they've only played 4 games out of 46

But budgeting on 2200 per home game - so finances getting tight
Just wondering how you explain how we play to him. It all sounds pretty similar.
