Money talks more in football than it's ever done, but I don't think all our current problems are down to money, it's a culmination of things too many similar signings also to many journey men of non league.

Talking of journeymen has Vose found a club yet? I would have him back for a season, he knows what that netty thing is for.

Any match between us adds a few thousand to the gate and generates a lot of interest. It is only the less intelligent followers of both clubs who see this as a platform for violence and hatred. Wrexham would be less of a football club without Chester and vice versa. And we are both supporting a model of ownership that defines the purest sense of a "football club". Like it or not, having a bitter rival down the road is actually better for us (and them) than not having one.
Good post and sadly both clubs being fan owned will unfortunately see both of us struggling in this league. Too many bankrolled clubs coming up and relegated clubs having the parachute payment. I'd guess in a few years we'll both be in conference north, just realistic

They could only pull a dozen fans when the club was dieing who were bothered to do something. Who's going to celebrate moving to a ground with less than half the capacity at a dead end of an cul de sac at the bottom of an industrial estate. They would of been better off staying in Macclesfield.
Don't really get your points there to be honest. It's 25 years since we returned to the city and nobody is claiming the ground is some super stadium that we think the world of. We recognise the Deva's shortcomings but that doesn't mean the club couldn't have marked the anniversary by getting some popular ex-players such as Stuart Rimmer back for the day to mark it.

Really think this obsession with the Town Hall 6 or whatever you want to call it has gone too far, that was just a group of lads who got together and wanted to spread the word a bit in the city, yes it was a low turnout but it was never a proper protest. Some of our fans got a match abandoned to highlight the club's woes that season don't forget. Having fought to keep Chester City alive in 1999 when looking seriously in danger of initially going under my conscience is clear.

Let's face it
Both clubs, teams and fans ALL in the same situation

They are as disappointed as we are - currently. We still have to believe that DK will get it right

Can't wait for a bubble free derby in Nov

It's not exactly going swimmingly here so I'd be very careful sticking the boot in across the border. Fun though it is..

Yeah exactly. Plenty of here reacting just the same. They haven't won at home since last year or something. Had to endure a death slide towards the relegation places last season and were promised different this year...they still haven't won and almost all of their forwards are currently injured. So a fairly understandable reaction.

While I like to see them doing worse than is the phrase about glass houses and stones comes to mind.

We keep on mentioning bankrolled clubs, are they all having £700,000 per season put into them just to match our gate receipts,Aldershot last season needed 1700 crowds to balance the books and their team looked a class above wrexham(which is not difficult)

What a farce that was!! Let's face it, both clubs were ruined by crooks. We have more in common than the fans acknowledge.
