For the avoidance of doubt the money from those student flats will 100% benefit the club so there is a £13million windfall coming our way soon

If you are not doing the Euromillions every draw you are not a proper fan.

I really can't think, for the life of me why an investor would want to take a 49% share in the club - there are no assets, no gain, nothing to be achieved - what would he / they be investing in ? and what return for them ?

The likes of steel multi millionaire Jack Walker at Blackburn stepping forward to finance his local club are a dwindling memory of the past. But you need a local person with the club and town in his heart - however even if there was such a person / a lottery winner we must never allow the possibility of any individual to get control of the club again.

In the interim we will continue to bumble along with our small piggy bank compared to the big boys but safe in the knowledge that there should always be enough in it to provide us a match on Saturday afternoon - perhaps not at the level we would like.

The only important thing at a football club is success on the pitch.

There's nothing wrong with the ownership model, at the moment it's all down to the management.

I agree. Why would someone spend a fortune to attain 49%?
I would imagine that if someone was thinking about sinking serious money into the club, then they would want a majority share; and then perhaps have WST onboard in a supporting role.
