It wasn't great -far from it -but we deserved to win. If only we could have finished one of those good chances we might have relaxed a bit and passed it more rather than continuing with the headless chicken approach. Having bigger more physical players definitely helps in this league. Wright and especially Hurst were blowing a bit near the end but both need to play to get sharper. Still lacking creativity though. But we won and stay in touch.

Spot on.

Not sure what supporters believe getting on a players case will achieve. Massanka had a poor game but Reid missed an equally easy chance (from a great through ball from Massanka)
Still not sure about Kelly but thought he had a better second half. Our back 5 looked really solid. Happy with Wright and he should retain his place. Things may well improve further with the return of holyroyd. Welcome 3 points COYR.

I actually thought the same thing as I left the ground walking to my car, thinking why is still on the books of a prem club!

Rooney would have much more to offer in the position that Kelly is occupying.
It's a left sided midfield position where the creative player (lacking pace) needs to come inside. Kelly comes inside and then he is on his wrong foot. I can't fathom why Keates doesn't try him on the right.

I can only hope that things will get better, but on this display there appears to be a lot more work to be done..
I'm in agreement and I'm usually positive, but we had 2 strikers who just coldnt keep hold of the ball and the first touch of a few more was no better than my Sunday team. Reid has something about him but he, Massanka, Wright at times and Leo Smith couldn't control the ball. We were saved by the post in the end against a very very poor Woking team although we missed some glorious chances to get a second.. Jennings wad better today and Hurst an improvement on Roberts but they hoofed it too much to our strikers neither of whom are target men. Dibble looked steady but Woking didn't offer much threat, the positives are Wright looks strong and powerful a typical NL player and the 2 centre backs won every header.

Still it's work in progress, get a target man in and we may start to get sustained possession in the opposition's half.

The most encouraging thing is how open the league is. We have generally been pretty crap and are still only 3 points off top

If we can get a couple of decent players in and the under performers pull their socks up it could be a very interesting season.
