Agree, I think his tenacity and work rate will trouble many a defence

Holroyd coming back will not be big for us. He is a bog standard striker with a decent brain, the ability to make things happen occasionally, and he will score from time to time. But he hasn't got pace or power and isn't a natural goal scorer. Having him back will be handy but he is not a quality player at this level. Bit of a journeyman, like so many of the others.

Must be a lot of journeymen in football if it includes people who have played nigh on 150 games at one club, clearly you have watched a lot of Macclesfield games to be able to comment on holroyds ability. Mind you the fact you believe that carrington is a full back and Rutherford a left winger makes me think your opinions are total bollocks anyhow

Cheers . I always appreciate it when someone can indulge in rational and polite debate.

Yeah rational is when you just call someone a journeyman based on fk all bt a personal dislike without seeing him play and support for 2 players who are clearly not good enough despite seeing them play

Considering he's only played 20 minutes this season, it'll be like a new a new signing. He may make a difference he may not, but it's handy to have another option.

He was a big loss. Not because he's likely to get 20 goals but because I believe the side was set up for him to be an important link between midfield and attack. We don't have attack minded central midfield players. That's clear to see. Hope he hasn't lost too much fitness and he'll need a few games to regain sharpness. I'm optimistic. Mind you that could just be too much sun today.
