You're right. They've already beaten Aldershot at home and drawn away with the Tramps. I thought at the game that one of our improvements this season is that Rutherford apart we are a much bigger team. A couple of shocking passes in front of our area straight to an opponent, esp by Wright in the first half that BW failed to capitalise on. Still our defence held firm and as Deano said we got the rub of the green.

Incidentally although the graphic showed us playing 4-4-2 we lined up as 4-3-3 with Ruthers alongside the two strikers. We certainly appeared to have more of an attacking intent than we did in the last game I saw at Maidenhead. I put this largely down to Reid and Wright but appeared also be a definite tactical shift.

Agree with the comments, they look very dangerous and will do well this season. Definitely rode our luck but sometimes you get that bit of good fortune, we've had our fair share of bad luck.

It was an excellent game. Very end to end and I'd say we just about deserved the win as we were on top for longer spells. IF we can pick up 6 points from the next 2 (very achievable) we could have a cracking crowd for the Hartlepool match on the Tuesday night.

Teams like Boreham Wood are very dangerous. Loads of experienced league players in their team. People need to get over the fact these are small yes, they aren't pub teams (and to be fair most of our fans know this now) this will go down as a very good away win.

Many have said that their budget is similar to ours. If this is true, I'd argue they're at a slight advantage given their catchment area. This was a very good win, I can see Boreham Wood finishing in the play offs with very few beating them.

Don't Arsenal's development squad and Ladies team play at Boreham Wood? I think that's where their money comes from.
