I would be a bit more reserved not to get carried away until the team gels and we see more consistent 90 minute performances, but credit to whatt is starting to take shape.

At the minute I think more credit is due to the recruitment of players. A small quality squad geared up for 4,4,2 and credit to sticking with it despite the sluggish start and the fact that 4 of the so called better signings are yet to achieve what we expected from thn and what they are capable of.

Lose a game and questions and critism of not landing another permanent striker will once again be rife, but it will be great if we can stay in touch. Get some points on the board with money in reserve to strengthen the right areas as we go as well as 4 or 5 decent players not currently starting keeping fresh and ready to step in.

The key seems to be that CM is becoming more effective and in reality this should allow RM and LM to link better with the front 2 as well.

Reid and Massanka seem to be building a partnership according to reports (as I have missed the last 2 home games) and once you see all these areas starting to be more effective then you can see why things are slowly improving.

Yes we could be well go 2-3 games without a win but we seem to be better geared up to deal with a few set backs.

DK does have some negotiating to do on the recruitment and loan front but has bought himself a bit of time.

Yes the final pieces of the jigsaw haven't been as successful as the earlier recruitment. To get 14 decent players in, some real quality isn't too shoddy. It has been obvious DK has tried and hung out for a top forward. This hasn't come off so far but he sorted his temporary fix with Reid. We are now getting tested with few injuries, but that will happen to all squads and we appear to be coping. We could have paid iut and have our marquee signing sitting out injured or through some mysterious virus for half the season.

No doubt we would swap our 2 (plus 2 loanees) forwards for all of Tranmere's 5 or 6, but you can only play 2 (maybe 2 more on the bench) and if we can get 2 firing and staying fit, it will put us in better stead than 3 or 4 mopesing about picking up their pay and putting a huge dent in money available when needed.

Think he watched the first half from the stand , and his opinions were probably given at half time . He is no doubt a good coach ,and his nous with Deans passion are a good combination ....

After the 8 games the jury is very much still out on all aspects but at least the building blocks have been put in place and we should now get that huge ingredient of stability from our coaching staff.

Not to wazz on everybodies chips, but I think it has more to do with the fact we have better players than last season.

Absolutely, although there are still weaknesses in the team, the standard of recruitment is far better than GM's. DK has held out for the sort of forward he wants but has not been successful, but hopefully, with continued good results he can bring the sort of player he wants in January.

A slow start but things starting to come together and confidence starting to build, so upward and onward.

I think you are right, not only better players but more thought has gone into the type of player brought in. DK dealt with the threat of relegation then quickly put a plan in place regarding his recruitment for this season, including his coaching staff which will hopefully pay dividends as the season progresses and we show continued improvement.

Seems really obvious, but having a really good defense is most to do with it. Pearson and Smith are leagues above what we have been used to since we have been in this god forsaken division.
