For what it's worth, I think this is a team well suited to the impending winter period, where we'll need to be well organised and compete on dismal cold and wet days/nights! Defensive discipline and stubbornness is already there to see, hopefully some flair and goals will gradually appear as well.

If you'd have asked me preseason whether I preferred total football, or effective football... I would've taken flair and goals every time! But now we've kept 4 clean sheets and are unbeaten in those games, and the fact that we lie 3rd in the league... I'm beginning to change my mind!

I like the sentiment. I would love to be entertained but I would rather win.

For what its worth I remember watching that game on tv and beijg a little disheartenied by it. We played well but showed an underlying fragility that definitely didnt say Champions to me. We lost that game rather than them winning it.

No matter what happens , they will never please everyone , When we played tranmere last season and lost 1-0 a tranmere fan said to me , " were not scoring many its 1-0 wins all the time " i replied with i wish we were !!

now we are not conceding but not scoring many , but competing well , fans are still not happy . I dont think anyone will beat us very easy but we wont hammer anyone either , not enough goals in the team .1-0 wins will do for me .

I was at the game ,Mills mate goalie was at fault for the first goal and the full. Back for the second although it was well taken. We bossed the game but was always suspect to the high ball unlike now.

I don't think we've shown up and downs, we've played badly but effectively every game (when we haven't been in a winning position, then I admit we've started looking a bit better). I agree about the left, but Jennings has played some fantastic balls into the box.
I didn't mention not making the play offs what I said was with a bit more concern.

As I see it now DK has a starting 11 with a better CM pairing and a slight improvement up front with Reid/Massanka pairing.

There are chances for some players to stake a claim and I am hoping Holroyd is going to add something to the starting 11 even if from the left.

The important thing is to continue to be strong at home and pick up what we can away.

Totally agree, that's how I feel.
