How many points do people think it'll take to win the League this season?

Lincoln amassed 99 last season. The lowest in our time at this level was Burton in our first season with 88 points, then Barnet with 92 a few years ago.

I'd be surprised if this year's champions achieve 90 points. I simply don't see any high quality teams and it could be a case of keeping yourself in contention; which we seem to be doing with a tight defence.

I think Tranmere are a very high quality team who have enough to run away with the league. I can't believe Norwood and Cooke will misfire for much longer. Apart from them I can't see enough others to keep us out the playoffs.

Signing a striker that he's been chasing since what seems like 6 months ago would be a welcome boost. His summer transfer business was pretty good bar this long running striker search. He needs to act soon and another winger wouldn't go a miss either. We won't get promoted in my opinion with the squad as it is today as we just don't create much.

Agreed.

It's as if Keates isn't bothered about a striker any more since Massanks scored a couple v Bromley.

Last week was probably the only week since the season started that he didn't say that he hoped to "get someone in next week."

It's more a case he has 4 fit strikers, no point paying for 3 who are not starting. DK seems confident of extending Reid's stay. Massanka & Reid have shown their potential lately and probably still a bit of an unknown quantity re: how good they can be. For now we are on a good run with points clicking up. This time next week things may look very different but we also have Holroyd & Boden with MaCreth to come back in who we were excited about and proven at this level.
So it is no longer a desperate situation and who knows DK may have lined up Reid's replacement.
