winning will bring the fans in but,

winning in style with goals will bring in a lot more through the turnstiles.

i am a die heart fan and go win, lose or draw and i would be happy with the football being served if we kept as we are and win the league.

but the floating fans want good football and goals for their hard earned money and that is what we should be aiming for to get them through the gates.

Having been an ever present for almost twenty years I am now what could be classed as a 'floating' supporter due to circumstances at home.

Family commitments etc have seen my Tuesday nights pretty much a no go to Football, though I still try and get there on a Saturday. It is just easier to arrange and work around a game on a Saturday afternoon.

I will be listening in on Calon though (whilst reading a bedtime story to my little one lol)

Both would be great, but one would be good, provided it was winning football matches. I just believe points on the board is more important to fans turning up, than seeing loads of goals but less points. It may provide more excitement with big scoring games, but a team is judged to be doing well based on their league position.

Hopefully, we will get both as the season progresses but for now I will be happy to grind out a 1-0 win v Hartlepool than playing out of our socks and drawing 4-4.

I will be there I love games under the floodlights and I'm days off but being a shiftworker I could of been on nights or evenings which a lot of fans work. That coupled with distance a hell of a lot of fans don't live in Wrexham, lots of reasons plus 2 games in a week fans with young kids in school early to bed as someone else pointed out, if your comment about negativity is because of comments about the football on show, then if you want to talk negative watching a team play negative football at home ain't good season after season, we might be 3rd at the moment but the season has only just begun, Hartlepool are on a good run and scoring goals Tuesday will be tough.

JND - Your points are all fair but I think it is a stretching it a bit to say that the next gate will be impacted by one players decision (may have been team orders ) to head for the corner with only minutes to go. I thought our second half performance was full of energy and quite positive. I actually would also have preferred us to go for goal as Bromley were well beaten by then but it really did not take any shine off the day - for me at least.

I too was exasperated in the closing minutes v Bromley - we were 2 - 0 up and had the upper hand - is it professional management to waste time and try and hold the ball up in the corner ? some would say so but I would prefer us to continue and go for a 3rd which we looked as though we might get. With a two goal cushion would that be so wrong ?

I was not at Torquay but had a similar thought - it's 0 - 0 with a few minutes to go - we make a sub and bring on Carrington probably as an extra defensive block - wouldn't it be good if DK was to show some real desire and pursue the 3 points right to the end and instead of bringing Carrington on put Holroyd up front with some pace ?

Meanwhile over at Prenton Park deep into injury time Norwood eventually forced the goal that beat Barrow.

Similarly in our 98 point season you may recall the number of times in the closing minutes of a match when we were winning and Fleetwood were actually losing. I can recall the unbelievable times they pulled a goal back or even won it in added time taking 3 points instead of 1.

None of want to lose a match but to gain promotion we have to be prepared to win matches and go until the 93 / 95 / 97th minute to get that victory - were we under the cosh at Torquay in the closing stages or could we have made a better tactical option to win the match ? I would love to know.

Good post how many times did Man United win games in the last minute or injury time, I get the point or being professional and pissing about in the corner if only winning by a goal. But 2-0 up well on top a corner last minute of added time and chance to improve our dismal goals scored. At home as well.

I didn't say that would effect tomorrow gate though.

Talking or tomorrows gate on the weather forecast more heavy rain during the day and gale force 75 mph winds in the evening with torrential rain. Makes for an interesting game but I expect it will hit the gate to.

"in still baffled at the not trying for a 3rd goal against Bromley in the last minute instead of taking a corner acting like it's 1-0 up and a European of cup game, at home that's negative football which will drive some fans away."

If that is not suggesting that it will impact our gates I am not sure what is ?
