Re: James Jennings
Opposition managers will surely target him - needle him enough and he'll lose his head.
Likely to continue and come to the surface in 'bigger matches' with more atmosphere - Chester away (already happened) Tranmere coming up in a fortnight - DK needs to get him sorted and quick. |

Re: James Jennings
Only solution is to fine him hard for dissent. I don't mind s yellow for a challenge but it happens every other game with him. Shame we have to pay his wages when he is banned. It won't be his only ban this season that's for sure. With such a small squad we can't afford for anyone to pick up needless bookings for dissent.

Re: James Jennings
He's an average footballer at best, and has very poor self-discipline. At 30 he won't improve. DK has, IMHO, made a mistake when extending his contract and an even bigger one by giving him a 2-year deal.
DK needs to be quite firm with him if we are to see some level of improvement should he regain his starting place. PS Is he suspended tonight or on Saturday?

Re: James Jennings
Quote:
His distribution is patchy and his positional sense leaves a lot to be desired. On the positive side he is part of the best defence in the League and has obviously played his part in that to date but I do think he's the weakest link. if he takes the attitude we see on the pitch into training and general contribution to the squad it can only be negative - he's too old to change so Dean should consider replacing him. |

Re: James Jennings
He does need to cut out the unnecessary bookings, bigger named players than JJ have sorted themselves out. His teammates need to step in too and shut him up. No doubt the penny should drop if it costs us tonight. We need him in the team he is key to creating chances and getting crosses in down the left. With a combative midfield, he is our second best provider after Rutherford.
