You've definitely offered a great debate on Tuesdays performance so many thanks for your valued intelligent input. It's brought a tear to my eye the way you've put your thoughts forward.

Re: Ten Games In
re "ten games in".
Not responding to any posts on here just the thread name. Ten games in. Defensively better than last season. In attack, oh where do we start. Its pitiful. Went to Torquay last weekend we didn't look like scoring then Tuesday evening we were lucky to come away with a point, Come on DK lets have a bit of a go at teams. This is the worst conference i have seen since we came down and i said years ago that we were stuck in this league for ever hoping i was wrong but, If we don't get out this season then i am afraid we wont go up in my life time. There are a lot of people in the MRS that sit by me that have said they will give it until Christmas and if dosent improve they wont be back for a "very long time" !!! |

In front of that we're pretty poor; which is more than half the team. Defensively our midfield does well; but this usually means a 6 man defence starving us of bodies further up the field. It's clear we don't have the fabulous wingers or strikers to pull this off successfully; or anyone to hold the ball up-front. I agree fitness is a problem for some players; but as we don't have a reserves team anymore getting them up to speed means risking injury in the intensity of a league match. Maybe some friendlies would be a good idea? In short we need all of our midfielders and strikers to improve their games; some more than others.

Re: Ten Games In
Let's not fall out about it lads. Rest assured I don't feel bullied if someone disagrees with my take on things. We are all passionate.
I've been an union official and managed an adult football team for more than enough years (Too many years to be classed as sane by some, but equally many family & fiends think that about me supporting Wxm) to take it on the chin when my view or opinion is rubbished. I always look for the positives with a degree of optimism, but get it, concern or frustration or dissapointment are the bigger motivators to sound off.
