Maybe a forum isn't the place for such a sensitive soul such as yourself. Now You have a great day Terrence.
Yep it'll be all the better by not sitting here reading your tripe all day.

You've definitely offered a great debate on Tuesdays performance so many thanks for your valued intelligent input. It's brought a tear to my eye the way you've put your thoughts forward.

Yes of course
can you tell me where in my response to davewilli I was having a go or bullying him please? I can't see through my tears of laughter and Terrence has omitted that detail too for some strange reason.

re "ten games in".

Not responding to any posts on here just the thread name. Ten games in. Defensively better than last season. In attack, oh where do we start. Its pitiful.
Went to Torquay last weekend we didn't look like scoring then Tuesday evening we were lucky to come away with a point, Come on DK lets have a bit of a go at teams. This is the worst conference i have seen since we came down and i said years ago that we were stuck in this league for ever hoping i was wrong but, If we don't get out this season then i am afraid we wont go up in my life time. There are a lot of people in the MRS that sit by me that have said they will give it until Christmas and if dosent improve they wont be back for a "very long time" !!!

Careful the top red brigade will put a black marker against your name for such realism!

We haven't got the money to throw at it like some other clubs, so DK needs to work his socks off, find ways to get the best from his small squad and we need to be prepared to give him the same time & support our previously successful managers (Neal, Flynn & Smith in my time).

I think the majority of fans realise this, hence over 4,000 fans on a wet Tuesday night, but because of that fan base we will expect a minimum of a top 7 finish. We all have concerns regarding the entertainment on show, the type of football we are capable of priducung or our ability to take some teams apart, but first prority for all successful teams is defence and a platform to the consistency to get the points on the board. Despite no consistency in nets and numbe of other injuries, we appear to have got that right.

We should be looking at the positive (repeating myself here) but let's get a fit Holroyd, Mackreth, Kelly, Jennings, Hurst & Dibble/Dunn back in the side, an addition or 2 to the squad and see if we can kick on. It will be job well done if DK can get us in the play offs in his first full season, a great job if we can make top 3 and fantastic if we are challenging for the championship in the new year.

The next 2 games shoud be real benchmarks, despite our current injuries & fitness issues (Carra and Leo also picking up knocks) to the progress so far and our prospect to be serious contenders. Despite both their sluggish starts, can we beat Guisely at home and can we get something from a hugely dufficult away trip to Prenton Park.
Most of the defence are performing well; which every successful team needs. Most of the new signings in this department are doing well; though I have been disappointed with Roberts so far and Jennings needs to wind his neck in.

In front of that we're pretty poor; which is more than half the team. Defensively our midfield does well; but this usually means a 6 man defence starving us of bodies further up the field. It's clear we don't have the fabulous wingers or strikers to pull this off successfully; or anyone to hold the ball up-front.

I agree fitness is a problem for some players; but as we don't have a reserves team anymore getting them up to speed means risking injury in the intensity of a league match. Maybe some friendlies would be a good idea?

In short we need all of our midfielders and strikers to improve their games; some more than others.

Let's not fall out about it lads. Rest assured I don't feel bullied if someone disagrees with my take on things. We are all passionate.

I've been an union official and managed an adult football team for more than enough years (Too many years to be classed as sane by some, but equally many family & fiends think that about me supporting Wxm) to take it on the chin when my view or opinion is rubbished.

I always look for the positives with a degree of optimism, but get it, concern or frustration or dissapointment are the bigger motivators to sound off.

Cheers. I think it was pretty clear I wasn't trying to and did not bully you. No offence is intended despite what others say. Hopefully come May I'll look back at some of my gloom this week and say how wrong was I.
