Re: We need a new approach!
Maybe Keates could explain the selection today.
All talk about extending Reids loan and then drops him and plays Boden. If it were me I would be back of to Fleetwood. Same with Wright who is left out for Carra in CM ffs. Loan players must improve the team according to Keates - really! |

Boden has been a bad signing and carrington is just a squad player who plays when others are out injured and suspended..but not only this we need sped down the flanks. Rutherford and Kelly are both too old and too slow to play with 2 sitting midfielders. |

Re: We need a new approach!
Going in to the last minute of normal time at 1-0 down, we still had two holding midfielders sat in front of the defence. I don't get it at all.
In extra time we pushed up, with Jennings pushing right up on the full back, but both cm are defensive minded. The starting team has been baffling for the last two games. The games are so dire, we wont attract the floating fans with this tripe on display, and may lose some of our more regular fans due to frustration. |

Someone in the press needs to ask Keates why we continue with such a negative approach? |

Re: We need a new approach!
BUT in the second half Kelly was moved into the centre of midfield and for the first time we had someone capable of holding the ball, changing direction and running with it in a forward direction - then he was substituted.
Sometimes you just have to try new legs, anyone and perhaps the change will be enough to have a bearing on the match. Strangely it doesn't matter who we play up front - they all appear anonymous - I was hoping Holroyd would make a change - greatest disappointment has to be Scott Boden but after a bright debut and start Reid looks poor. Just can't see where goals will come from - what really shines through is that when we bring the ball forward we seem to run out of players to give the man in possession any options to he usually stalls turns around and the ball ends up going backwards or sideways at best - even when we have a numerical advantage. Free kicks leave a lot to be desired - so wasteful. |
