The next 7 games will define our season IMO. To get anything from them will be a bonus the way we are playing.

If we are in the top 5 after the next 7 games, Keates will be the solution not the problem, if we are in the bottom half I will switch the lights off on the way out.

Tranmere Rovers A
Sutton United H
FC Halifax Town A
Eastleigh H
Dagenham & Redbridge A
AFC Fylde A
Leyton Orient H

Would you settle for 7 x 0-0 draws?

I think it's hard to predict in this league. Looking at the last four games on paper they looked pretty straightforwar with Bromley looking the toughest game. But s it turned out Hartlepool and Guiseleys form is on the up and Torquay played probably their best game of the season against us (going by their forum) we also seemed to have turned a corner against Bromley but have gone back to offering no real attacking threat in the last few games.

Wow... this thread is embarrassing. We're two points off the top and people are saying Keates isn't the man for the job?

I've always maintained that it would be a two year job to sort us out and nothing I've seen has changed that view. Keates has the spine of a team that is solid (and mostly on a 2 year deal) and has something to build on. I have no doubt that the reason he's set us up as he has is that he understands we're not great going forward so has made us extremely hard to beat. (This may have not been by design - I don't think any of us thought we'd be struggling this badly for goals - but rather of necessity).

You know .. that game Saturday was dreadful .. albeit we still should of won as we should of had a clear penalty first half before they scored. Anyway we didn't create much again which is disappointing.what i did like was our change of formation second half when Kelly moved inside. Instantly looked a better team and Kelly had a nice couple of touches whilst he was there and we did look a better side for it.. what I didn't understand then was the substitution in taking Kelly off, unless he was injured but he didn't appear to be?

Bar Tranmere which could go anyway that's a tough run of games.

If Keates is on about getting a target man he needs to move now or a s Birdy said a bad run of form will see us slip right down the table.

I mentioned this on another thread, why put a striker on and take the player off who has best chance of feeding the ball through.
