How could Keates have known there was an Agent involved, when he wasn't involved, if you get my drift?
If the player didn't tell anyone who did speak to him that he had an Agent, I'm not sure that Keates speaking to him directly would have have made any difference?
The Agent wasn't involved in any of the wheelings and dealings between the 2 Clubs and the player, and brought nothing to the party. That's not Keates's problem. That's a problem with the relationship between the player and his Agent.
All of the above pre-supposes that what we have been told is true. I am more inclined to believe Keates than someone from outside the Club.

If I was signing a player then as a manager then I would want to speak with him and I find it strange that no conversation took place between DK and the player.
However given the supposed amount the agent wanted then if true I understand why DK then pulled the plug.
The issue since has been where are the alternatives as DK himself said that if we don't get target A we move onto B, C etc.
I thought Murphy at FGR was worth a loan (weeks ago) and now Torquay have moved in for him.
