How come we haven't started developing our attacking play yet? We seem pretty sound at the back, Hartlepool have done the same and are now developing their attacking play after half a dozen games, not quite getting it.

Carl Darlington stated when he first started at TNS in his first season he got the defence sorted but they failed to achieve, despite Harris claims they had the best players and expectations so therefore expected to be sacked, the owner Harris gave him more time and he then went on to win everything there was to win in six concurrent season he did not want to come to Wrexham despite Keates repeated requests due to TNS being on course due to them setting a new world record for the most wins as recorded in the Guinness book of records. Darlington stated he Dean, Andy and Oakes work as a team and that they collectively come to an agreement with how we play and set up. To me we must be more patient and we will definitely get to where we want to be.
According to Carl we are currently more fitter than some Premiership clubs and have a fantastic set up.

Have yet to see any evidence of this. At the moment it is no midfielder wanting the ball and moving other than Rutherford, so generally booting it from defence forwards to no effect.

You sound pretty optimistic from what you've heard so hopefully there's something to look forward to soon!

If this isn't transparency I dont know what is. Quite refreshing even if it is not quite what everyone would like to hear.

To the people questioning what has been said on this thread, and pretty much paraphrased from the interview , to go and watch the interview for yourselves. It is obvious we are on the right tracks, and time and patience is needed. This man is the real deal, I genuinely believe we will prosper with the current set up in place.

Only seen a few minutes of the interview so far but Darlington talks a very good game.

He said that they will then move on to concentrate in more detail to the attacking style of play. He also said that they have video and statistical analysis of home games as they are being played and that they go through the videos of the first half with the team at half time. he also has radio contact with the bench whilst being positioned in the stand to gain a different view of the game. The guy came across very professionally and has really given me confidence that we have a real plan and that in time success will follow.
Sounds like a load of billy bollocks. Football at this level should be a simple game.

This is the future Foxy. Have patience and it will come. It was always a 2 year job and they've focussed on the defensive side first.

To quote FOG from the Liverpool thread during last season:

"You cannot win the Premier League without a solid defence and that's a fact. Conte is a pragmatic manager who actually knows you have to defend and that's why he'll win the league."

Keates, Darlington et al get this and have made us hard to beat. It's really not that difficult to grasp.
