That's my concern as well. There's a fine line between good information and paralysis by analysis. Tactics and tips are a bit like paracetamol, one or two can be good for you, too many will kill you, regardless of what sport it is.

That said, if we are going down the technical route then at least we are doing it with a someone who has clearly got some talent for that side of the game and knows his onions. I thought he came across very well and there can't be much doubt that having him here is a real positive, not just from a first team point of view.

Shame that the question of WPL players and in particular Quigley didn't get taken a bit deeper though.

I understand how important it is to build from the back but to suggest we haven't really looked at how to attack yet is a bit strange.

"You cannot win the Premier League without a solid defence and that's a fact. Conte is a pragmatic manager who actually knows you have to defend and that's why he'll win the league."

Keates, Darlington et al get this and have made us hard to beat. It's really not that difficult to grasp.
Isn't this also what Jose did in his first season at United - Maybe next season we can win 3 of our first 5 games 4-0. It isn't great to watch at present, but as long as we stay in the mix, that is the main thing. I hope all those who have come on spouting that Darlington was talking nonsens, took up the issue with him at the meeting. It aint perfect, but at least the management now care about the club and will work hard to get it back to the football league.

Simple fact goals win games. If we can't score then the best we can get is a point. As seen on Saturday all it takes is a fluke deflection and we struggle.

I can't buy that Wright argument. You need attacking players to break down a defensive side. Also with us playing hoof ball down the sides we are pretty much bypassing the middle of the pitch anyway. As for Wrights poor passing well the others are no great shakes in that department.

That's so true, and goal fests help fill stadiums too - but I've seldom heard anybody raving about their pleasure at watching a 0 - 0 bore draw, or persuading others to watch the repeats...

While some of the choices haven't worked (no Wright was mental) let's go back a year. People screaming at the Mills methods, and that we needed more preparation, fitness and planning. Now we're getting it and we're too technical and it's "billy bollocks". Draw your own conclusions.
