Interesting one and will be following how he gets on.

He came in here like a breath of fresh air and for the first few weeks all was fine. It was such a change having had a dour Yorkshireman in charge (who's doing very well for himself now I must say) to Bignot who came across brilliantly when being interviewed, talked a great game and had nearly all Grimsby fans excited for the future, but in the end it turned out that he was really trying to run before he could walk and some of his team selections and formations were baffling. The football wasn't really good to watch either and after 4 months in charge John Fenty pulled the trigger on him as it was becoming rather uncertain how he'd fare if in charge for a full season.

The decision did split the Grimsby fans with some claiming that he should have been given more time and others relieved that the decision was made.

He did well previously in the conference with Solihull before though but it just appeared to be that the step up to league management was just a bit too much.

Will be watching with interest. (I know which way most of you would like to see him go)

Probably a bit to much of a step up at Grimsby but Solihull very similar to jester in terms of support, ground, trophies etc.so may feel at home
