Re: Macron range limited this year
Am I the only one who think all the club's "systems" are poor, on-line?
The club shop on-line doesn't cover all the stock we have.... The club website is pretty hopeless, news isn't what it should be, it's hard to find even basic information on there sometimes And even the tools in the club shop that the guys have to use are awful. I went in last Tuesday to buy a spare season ticket to 'bring a friend' to every game. The lad on duty (may have been Matt, top guy) had a nightmare trying to get the system to help him. Just because somebody had bought the seat I wanted as a one-off for the next game (a week today) the system wouldn't allow him to give me a season ticket for 'the game after til the end of the season'.... so I had a wasted trip to the ground, and the club doesn't take the thick end of £300 off my hands to help funds. On all three of these things we can't blame the guys in the club shop, they do an awesome job, always friendly and as helpful as possible. But the tools they are given to try and do things, and the tools elsewhere to help sell the club shop items, season tickets, and general info on the club website, are all pretty hopeless. Moan over. Re: Macron range limited this year
I haven't been into the club shop for a while but last time I went, the racks were full with all sorts of gear but nothing had prices on them.
That can put people off as they like to know how much they are spending before they get to the till plus they don't want to be asking "how much is this" all the time, especially if the shop is busy and especially if they want several items. It wouldn't take long to write the price on a bit of fluorescent card and place it on each rack. |

Re: Macron range limited this year
Just a quick answer re the 2 Polo ranges. Last year we had 3. This year we have already had 2 short sleeved and a long sleeve one. We have ordered another 2 to add to the range, will be phased in shortly and will coincide with the Christmas Shop opening. The club shop is not really big enough to stock more than 2 at a time. As the Season progresses we will bring in new ranges refresh all the time. With winter approaching there will be more Coats Sweatshirts, Hats, Scarves, Gloves and a complete range of products that we have not sold before. The service that we get from Macron is brilliant and we talk every day and meet up at least twice a week. There is no comparison to the previous Companies that we used where we couldnt get stock in or reorder after the initial order was placed. I expect this Season to be a record year. As a club we know that the on line shop system needs up dating but as with most things there is a cost. Geoff Scott

Re: Macron range limited this year
Isn't it about we stop being so short sighted with cost, having adequate systems you'd think would pay for themselves in the longer run, particularly with not all the range being available online.
All we here is because of cost, suppose the poor match day catering is down to this also, time to start investing so money into areas that will help generate even more income in the future before costs rise further. |

The shop is fantastic, and the staff are great. BUT, everything really does need a price tag on it. You will sell a lot more if its priced up, guaranteed. Last edited by smiffysarmy; 23rd September 2017 at 11.38:16.. |

The main point relating to this thread, is the lack of options for online purchases. Im sure the Macron range is excellent, but it is the accessibility of the products available. Ultimately what i am taking away from your last sentence is that it is simply is not worth the resources that would be required to improve things, because it is perceived the financial returns, will be limited Even though that doesn't help me, id take the news better if it was stated as the case, rather than excuses like "beyond our control" Last edited by redtalk; 23rd September 2017 at 11.43:29.. |

The online shop is one area where it really would be wise to speculate to accumulate. Not all Wrexham supporters are based within the town with exiles all around the UK and internationally. Having a well run online store would soon pay for itself. |

If the latter, as Birdy says surely there are many companies that supply this functionality at a relatively low cost? |
