Interestingly the Tranmere Rovers official programme does not detail the identity of the 'Stadium Safety Officer' - other officials are.

The stadium will have a Safety Certificate issued and supervised by the County Council (used to be Trading Standards) - these issues need to be addressed so they are not repeated. One of the components of the Safety Advisory Group will be the local Council Building Control.

There should be records outlining the work - the removal of the plastic parts of the seats - in reality this makes them unuseable so there should be an accompanied stand capacity reduction - and if they are not fit for their intended use they should surely be removed or steps taken to safeguard supporters so they are not able to access them.

Similarly, as previously highlighted the removal sometime in the past of the handrails on the stairways especially due to the steep and deep nature of the steps - the leading edges of the steps should be highlighted in bright yellow hazardous paint - were they ?

Problem with this league is if that Cowshed Stand was accommodating supporter numbers as per Saturday week in week out these issues would be highlighted and probably addressed - but we go from a skateboard full of supporters from Dover one week to nearly 1500 the next match - it's virtually nothing to a mass invasion - however it doesn't excuse the presence of those horrible metal seat frames.

Just seen on facebook Tranmere are removing the metal bits this week. Again, madness they were ever left like that.

Why didn't they put some netting or barriers in the way to stop anyone going near the sticky out spiky metal bars???

They never actually officially opened the front few rows either. People just started climbing over to them because nowhere else was available
Did you see the flare going over ? With your user name I guess you are used to missiles going over your head
