Default Sutton United - who's feeling totally gutted ?

Well, we were top of the league for all of five minutes.

Never has a draw felt so much like a defeat - we should have been home and dry late second half with a clinical second goal, but it didn't come and whilst there was only one goal in it they had a chance.

Totally gutted - the Tech end was bouncing then that late goal from them killed the atmosphere like a knife.

Thoughts ?

Yep gutted, could have been our best chance to go top, and with a better crowd as well.
8 unbeaten though, on to Tuesday now!

If only we could finish.

If we had strikers better than Cymru Alliance level to bring on, we'd be comfortably top of the league.

Honest to god, is there really no striker in our "famed" youth academy that is better than Missanka?

Holroyd is doing a decent job.

Our next best option, despite the howls of derision, is Boden. He is experienced, good first touch, decent distribution. His game has been lacking somewhat as we haven't been creating many chances when he was playing, but also he hasn't had a run of games to get match fit either.

Reid is finished as a Wrexham player, so casual now during games, he may as well go back to fleetwood.

Massanka is handy as an impact sub, but his confidence seems to be as hit n miss as his first touch and his finishing. Nice lad though.

To answer the OP though. No. Not gutted. We played well, everyone barring Reid gave 100%. Their goal was class, and given the way they played, in isolation the game was maybe fair as a draw, annoying though that is.

We are showing a lot of promise. Just missing that attacking midfielder / strike partner for Holroyd.

Chins up guys, and on to Halifax.

If Boden really is the best man to play next to Holroyd it shows how shockingly limited our options are.

Bit like St Milners day when Wrexham were 2 - 1 up v Chester who were down to 9 men and still managed a late equalizer.

We really should have seen the game out today in the closing stages - but with somebody who could hit the net we would have been home and dry long before their equalizer - we never look likely to concede but fair play their goal was a very good strike - shame Massanka couldn't do the same and at least work their keeper.

I have to pay credit to the supporters who were brilliant today - the noise generated in the Tech End second half was immense - if that doesn't spur the players on nothing will.

It does! And it needs sorting. But there it is.

If massanka wasn't on the pitch those chances wouldn't of been created. His contribution in general play was very good I thought, just lacked a finish, which in this game the way it was poised was frustrating. I like this lad he's raw and will come good.
