Default Halifax ratings

Coddington - 7.5. Very assured. Won everything he came for and pulled off a great save at the end.

Roberts - 7. Faultless defensively but not much going forward.

Jennings - 7. Read Roberts.

Manny - 7.5. Thou shalt not pass.

Pearson - 8. Dealt with the great lump Denton like he was a schoolboy.

Rutherford - 6. Huff and puff, not much spark.

Kelly - 7. Had a lot of time on the ball and looked positive but not much support.

Wedgebury - 5.5. Well off the pace after another early booking.

Carrington - 7. Decent game to be fair. Played some good cross field balls to the wide men.

Holroyd - 8. MOM. Ran himself into the ground. Came deep, ran the channels, set up three great chances.

Reid - 4. Had our three best chances, fluffed them all. Didn't look arsed.

Massanka - 3. Dross

Boden - 4.5. slowed the game down after replacing Holroyd. Didn't offer any options apart from the long ball.

Mackreth - 2. A point for every time he touched the ball.

All in all a decent performance but the subs were poor and we lost all momentum when they came on.

Holroyd is going to be such a fans favourite! Imagine him playing off Cook!

Generally player ratings are 8 & 7s defensively 5 & 6s midfield and 4 & 5s up front with Holroyd the exception.
Sums it up.

I'd be more concerned if we weren't making the chances.
Team is looking better week on week.
Carrington had a decent game and played further forward with Wedgebury covering the back. We are beginning to look like a football side rather than a bunch of hoof merchants.
Yes, we need to improve up front but it may only take a goal to kick start the forward line.

I agree with this. We look solid, start taking chances and the league could there for the taking. It's early October, safe to say we've progressed massively from last season and I'm sure there is more to come.

That's encouraging to hear. A few weeks ago we weren't creating anything. Constant improvrment

Last nights performance was very similar to about ten that I had witnessed before. Despite no attacking threat, we are still on the fringe of leading clubs. There's nowt special in this league, from what I have seen. Isn't this the moment that the Trust get the big wedge of dosh and tell Dean to recruit. If it isn't, it's going to be a bit bland and boring till season ends.
