This is not a Carrington bashing thread, thought he did well until subbed but having watched the highlights and Kelly with his sublime passing and build up play I really do think he has to start in the middle for the home games at least.The guy oozes class and when he came on totally changed the game,I'm still not convinced that Mr Keats realises this or does he?
As I say not bashing Carrington but if we are to get out of this shitpit then I think this has GOT TO HAPPEN, please lets have Kelly in the middle.

Carrington is a steady eddie and I have no issue about him being in the 16 man squad.
But we do need to play our best players as much as is under our control, and in their better positions too.

But tactics will change away from home, or against different opposition, so everyone will have a part to play.... Carrington included.

Totally agree yes you've got to shut up shop a little more from home ,but at home we should every game go for 3 points nothing more nothing less ,we have got to get out of this league this season I feel its our best chance ever.

I agree with this. A handy squad player and I suspect a good.influence in the changing room and around the squad. But for me it had to be either Carrington or Wedgebury not both, and Wedgebury offers a bit more dynamism.

I think it’s a bit harsh on Carrington. I don’t think he’s played worse than Wedgebury and actually has better feet and is more mobile. It’s just they shouldn’t both play defensively together in the middle at home/in easier games.

Kelly plus Wedgebury or Carrington.

I agree with Dixie here although I'm glad he's in the squad if only for the fact that he's steady and reliably mediocre and by that factor he's not going to lose us any games either.

As It has been said, we have to go for it 100% this season as it's wide open.
Given that it is still early days, and things are bound to change, we could do without the current bottom 2 in Div.2 (Port Vale and Chesterfield) joining us in the National League.

Hopefully we'll be replacing them!
