Personally I’m far from convinced that Keates is the right man to take us forward, but we have to hope that he is. I don’t think that we will make the playoffs this season, but I hope that I am proved wrong

Overall, keates is doing a grand job, but I completely understand the frustration with, for example, Kelly back out wide after what happened last Saturday.

The majority of games we've won have wedge/wright or wedge/kelly in the middle, carra on the bench. Draws/losses with wedge/carra in the middle. So why does keates persist?

He has got much right and much wrong, but considering the mess he inherited he is moving us in the right direction. He has established a solid back line and there is much to be admired elsewhere .

Mistakes : paying a fee and then handing a bog standard right back a two year contract, playing 2 sitting central midfield players , and The disastrous Sean Boden

You can see though how next summer if he can add an attacking central midfielder, 2 quality strikers and a back up centre half, we could be a force . Do we have the money for that though ? Probably not.

Ffs if we got anything near 7 points from our next 3 he would be the messiah again. He is a novice manager who has inherited a diabolical squad and turned it into a decent side, even if they can't score we are in a good position for next season if we fail to go up this time.

Although he needs to stop playing Nice-Laddington in midfield. That really has to stop and now.
