I think Keates is doing a good job but I do get really frustrated with him not realising the mistakes. If he's not noticing the Carrington situation why isn't Darlington pointing it out, or the other coaches, or even the board.

I want Keates to stay, he's the best manager we've had in a while. I'm fully confident we'll challenge for the play offs this year but I'm a bit fed up of having long term plans for promotion and restarting every 2 years. We've been here 10 years, I don't want a solid back line this year, add a striker next year and go again. Bring in a striker asap, we've built the budget for a reason. I know Creighton got slated for his speculate to accumulate comment but if we bring in a proven striker or creative midfielder maybe we can actually go a bit further in cup runs, turn narrow loses into wins, get a few more points on board and a few extra hundred fans every week.

The league this year is shit. Honestly for tranmere to have the start they have had yet still be in touching distance of the top at this point demonstrates this.

Yes we are doing ok in the league but while every team is particularly average we could be gainiglng an advantage by closing out games better than we are. We have a predictable lull every season so id love us to capitalise better than we are

It's incredible the striker position hasn't been sorted. If this continues you have to question the ambition of the club. The title is there for the taking. The question is what are the club going to do about it ?

The loan market is the only available option until January.

I put a thread a few weeks similar to this. Keates can take us so far but as shown today he is tactically limited and still can't see the issue with Carrington.

We will miss out on promotion I'm afraid to say because of this issue with continually putting Carrington in. It's costing us goals and goals win matches.
