Don't forget, live on national T.V. this evening, the F.A.cup draw, and then tomorrow (17th) the draw for the Russia world cup play-offs. Then again, they won't be of interest to us, Welsh, Wrexham fans, typical !!!!!!, the result at Fylde ending a miserable week.

Seems we apparently rested some players so they could have some further rest ( i don't believe a player can need rest after only 16 games ) .

Well - The supporters can now have a rest in the next round. Some clubs will welcome the potential 1st Round Proper prize money plus the split of gate receipts if there is a decent draw. plus plus a bit of TV money if covered.

It's not looking good - a free Saturday on 4 / 11 beckons.

HT in tonight's replay - Ossett Town 0 Solihull Moors 2.

Still there's always BT Sport 'Score' to watch with Jules Breech instead - oh well, never mind.

Did i read "goal fest" ? Tongue in cheek no doubt.

However as a salop based red,to see those worzels at the top of league1 and winning 4-0 at Ht this evening just adds salt to the wounds. 4 goals at home in one half, thats about 4 games worth for us... on a good run !

Full time at Ossett, and its a 2-1, win for Solihull Moors. So its a blank weekend for us on 1st Round date, a good chance to rest our players.

Players can 'rest' for too long.
Think I would rather see us playing regular football - just as we looked decent during the second half v Eastleigh our league momentum has been disrupted.
Surely players can play once if not twice a week - if the latter just reduce the training sessions in between games. It's not like we are playing on mud bath pitches like back in the 70's.
Too much rest and the players will become ring rusty - any momentum and cohesion is lost and we have to start building again.

Agree with your theory. We’ll see if it’s correct on Sat, as D&R played last night.
