Exactly this. Despite not being played in a system that is beneficial to him he has still shown a better touch than most players we have. In the few games he has played he has come short and when the ball is played to chest or feet he has brought others into play.

Yes.He's technically good, seems to have a footballing brain and preseason he looked like a natural goal-scorer.Just lacks a bit of pace (hence his lower league career,to date).

Boden is certainly a poacher so why sign a player like him when we're pumping long balls up? We're crying out for monster.

I mentioned this last week. Keates signs a player whom he knowz isn't suited to our style of play. Bad management if you ask me and kinda obvious you need a big target man if we are playing hoof ball. Its not bodens fault he has no service

As regards strikers all the talk is Keates identifying a quality striker, has anyone stopped and thought who signed the 4 strikers we have now? One who it was obvious when on loan a season ago isn't up to it.

He also tried to sign a Barrow cast off that's gone back to Chester and is crap there so I wouldn't expect too much with his next one. Perhaps identifying strikers is not one of his strong points.

Reid is probably the best finisher of the 4 forwards we have but unfortunately is being asked to play a role that clearly doesn't suit him.
For me all 4 forwards are too similar and all suited to play a role alongside a more natural CF. None of them can really hold the ball up or win headers - Holroyd does the best he can and probably the pick of the 4.

Seems DK is going to try and muddle through until the Jan window.

Personally I think we should take a punt on Archer in the Jan window and another CF.
Massanka and Reid can go back.

We also have the COE player and could he be any worse.

Not sure I agree Reid is our best finisher. Our style of play doesn’t suit him because he is in my opinion lazy and scared to put his foot in. Finishing is all about confidence and I would rather see Holroyd and Boden persisted with and Massanka as an impact player against tired legs. Then let’s see in January

Well Massanka is a poor finisher and I dont see what Boden offers in any way whatsoever. Some are complaining about the service but Holroyd has managed to score 2 after his return from injury and thats down to his peristence.

Unfortunately our midfield offers very little in terms of a goal threat either so it maybe that the sum of the parts are actually less than some of the individuals.

Lets see where we are after the next 5 games.

We dont have any decent finishers although I'm hoping holroyd will knock in a few more. Very poor recruitment from the management.
