Waterlogged pitch and a howling gale. Its whether the pitch recovers in time. Todays wind should help but some more rain forecast before Tuesday. I'm optimistic.

Ditto. If its on we'll be driving up mid afternoon; room for one more if anyone's interested.

It was horrendous yesterday for rain in parts of the north west - images from the Fylde match show the level of water on the pitch.
Similar scenario watching the highlights on Channel 5 'goalrush' at Ewood Park for Blackburn's home match which is quite close - by.
No doubt the Fylde ground staff will be working hard to get the pitch playable - all depends on how much rain we get between now and Tuesday evening - wonder if they have pitch covers ? Could n' t use them around the clock but let the wind do it's work whilst it's dry and put covers out for the showers.

Directions to Fylde FC
Mill Farm
Wesham
PR 4 3JZ

As this is a new stadium to visit for the majority here are some directions - anyone who went to the FA Cup tie at this venue the other week might be able to add further information to assist fellow reds.

Proceed M6 northbound until junction 32

Exit at J32 heading west onto M55 ‘Preston Bypass
Signposted in general direction of A6 / Preston / Blackpool.

Proceed along M55 and exit at Junction 3 onto A585 Fleetwood Road
Your now heading south towards the villages of Kirkham & Wesham.
This is open farmland county.

After a short distance you will see the stadium on your right which is part of the Mill Farm Sports village.

Just past the stadium you will arrive at a roundabout
Take the 3rd exit onto Coronation Way.
You are now heading north - up the other side of the stadium - Coronation Way which is a dead end. All car parking facilities and entrance to the stadium will be on your right hand side.

From Wrexham Racecourse to Fylde FC is a total of 80 miles with a listed journey time of 1 hour 20 minutes - not taking into account rush hour traffic & any potential road works.

Match tickets - don't forget that this stadium has cashless turnstiles so you need to either pre book or obtain your match ticket from the Fylde ticket office before approaching the turnstiles. Further information on admission prices is available on our club website.

Would recommend to those going that you eat or drink before you get there unless you want to fork out £4.75 a pint or £3.50 for a not very good pie!

We live within 5 miles of the ground. The wind is really strong at the moment and the standing water has all gone today. I am confident it will be on as pitch looked good last week. I'm there again with son plus friends. Let's hope for an improvement.

Really easy ground to find. Once you leave the m55 it's your 1st exit at the roundabout(if travelling from this way). Then just follow the road for about half a mile the ground is on your right.
