Default Outstanding defence

It is worth recording that (with the exception Man City and Man Utd) our defensive record (goals conceded per game) is the best in all of the 5 top divisions.

Whilst we all know where our problems lie - Just thought its worth celebrating what an outstanding defensive achievement it has been so far this season.

I reckon this is the strongest back 4 we've had since coming down to this level and gives us an outstanding platform to build from

Agreed. The coaching team all need to take a bow in accepting the plaudits for the way the defence has been built.
Fingers crossed we can just keep it going.

What about the great Jos Mayebi 2011/12 season, was it something like 8 goals conceded in about 22 games in the league, beat that. Oh and about 13 clean sheets in that.

In the 2011/12 season we managed 23 clean sheets in the league and conceded 33 in 46 games. We're on track to beat both of those.

Our record for clean sheets over the course of one season is 26. Let's see if we can beat that.

If you look at it purely of conceding goals you cannot argue against it being the best.

In terms of an overall back four and what else it can offer; in 2011/12 season; certainly up until the end of Jan when Obeng left, we did get far more out of Obeng and Ashton going forward than we do out of the current full backs.

I think as a collective centre back pairing; Pearson and Manny are better than NKP and Creighton.

No chance. NKP and Creighton every day of the week.

The NKP- Beast defence had an excellent midfield and decent attack ahead of it as well!
