Re: Worst GK mistake at a Wrexham game?
It's not the worst we've seen by far, but persisting with Dunn is the biggest clanger Keates has made all season. If anyone has the time to come up with some stats, you'll find that Dunn has been responsible for over half the goals we've conceded this season, yet probably played in only around a quarter of the games. Both Coddington and Dibble have a tremendous record, then there's this baffoon.

Re: Worst GK mistake at a Wrexham game?
Dunn was arguably at fault for both goals midweek at Fylde - a fumbled free kick for the first and beaten at the near post for the second.
Four goals conceded in two matches now after or rave reviews of our defence. I would start Dibble - he looks much better and far more agile - a safer pair of hands. But we had it previously with DK - he only seems to make a keeper change when it's forced upon him by injury. Jos Mayebi was the Bruce Grobbelar of the National League - absolutely brilliant or prone to howlers of the highest order. Stockport away when he punched the ball into his own net from a corner to his near post. Mansfield away on live TV when their keeper booted a ball the length of the pitch straight into our net. Cambridge United at home - leading 1 - 0 with a Leon Clowes header when JM attempted to clear the ball only passed it straight to their forward who ran onto it and scored. Mark Morris & Vince o Keefe were prone to clangers - all keepers make them - some more than others but they get the earache as it usually results in a goal. |

Re: Worst GK mistake at a Wrexham game?
Keepers make mistakes, some prove to be very costly others they get away with. I am sure Chris Dunn has held his hand up and taken the blame for the first goal however I doubt whether the player who should have marked the centre half for the second will have done the same. A little unfair to slate the keeper whether Dibble is a better keeper is a matter of opinion. Believe Mignolet is still no1 at Liverpool and he has made his fair share of errors.

Calling officer dibble.......
The cross for the first was a complete miss hit to be fair but Dunns position was not the best. I see Jalal dropped a clanger for Macc also. Bad day for keepers. Next season we have to be looking at keeping Dibble and trying to get the Cod from Northampton. |

Re: Worst GK mistake at a Wrexham game?
Worst was definitely Mayebi at Stockport. He went on to blame the whole defence for his error. For those who don't remember, this was the time when he caught the ball from a corner against Stockport, then turned the ball into his own net. Baffling.
