I think this just vindicates what I have been saying doesn’t it ? At the moment he isn’t good enough to be cover. It’s a shame Keates didn’t get this in the summer when he spent a fee on a bog standard full back who is no better than Hurst or Carrington, arguably slightly worse. We needed cover at central half fir the start of the season.

Hadn't it been said by a person who was ale'd up in one of the pubs in town? Need to track him down as he sounds like the person we need during the next transfer window on here

Doug Tharme was on the bench a couple of weeks back. I know he's highly rated. Probably use him as temporary cover.

He has done very well this season when he has came in all things considering ..

At his age it doesn't make sense to sit ok the bench all season if he can get regular football .. it will do him the world of good !!18 years old .. wow .. baby for a CB

Very well ? In every game he has played ( friendlies and competitive) he has arguably been responsible for a goal, including going to sleep at Lex and allowing Lex’s Sammy Slow to outpace him and score. I am not noticing any howls of protest about the fact that we are sending him out on loan even though we have just 2 other centre halves.

I really hope he comes back an improved player but at the moment he is not as good as this quartet, who also proved not good enough: Ross White, Leon Clowes, Steve Tomassen, Declan Walker.
