If you think like that Wedgebury would never play. Would Ferguson have left Keane out of a derby due to that to make way for an inferior player with little to no fight? Not a chance in hell. I can see what you mean but to me it’s a risk you take and besides you need to trust your players. Doing that would just make Wedgebury lose all faith in Keates.

Wedgebury lost his cool against Tranmere agreed. However I spoke to him afterwards and he realised he was wrong. In that respect I would not expect him to make the same mistake again. He does not to my knowledge have more red cards that Carrington this season. So ,for me, Phil is right we should pick the correct player which is Sam.

I honestly think we'll go with Carrington and Wedgebury in the middle of midfield tonight. I'd expect us to be hard to break down and hopefully nick a goal.

Going for a 4 - 4 - 2 with Massanka looking lively and energetic being retained up front with Holroyd - concerned about Dunn’s form so would prefer Dibble to start in goal. Would not be surprised if DK starts with Carrington - perhaps an experienced cool head suited for a derby match.

I meant a more conventional 4-4-2. Against Orient we had Kelly in the middle who wasn't tasked with much tracking-back, it felt more like a diamond at times. Can't see Keates wanting to give Chester that much time and space in midfield tonight.
