Thought the said poster’s comments were quite fair and reasonable to be honest and not really sucking up as has been suggested. They offered some criticism of certain
Chester players and seemed to recognise that you’d been under pressure a bit towards the end but had stood firm. Derby banter notwithstanding, surely you’d rather see people representing your club on other message boards by offering considered thoughts rather than the purile “ha ha, we beat you tossers” type of contributions?

Chester had in the early 2000s when we won the Conference under Mark Wright. I wouldn’t say it’s a total like-for-like side to that one but there’s definitely comparisons and that team could also go away and grind out wins under the cosh like yours can, having pulled off some impressive away wins. I guess your problem now is whether you can resolve matters up front, but in the absence of any outstanding teams in the league this season you’ve got as good a chance as anybody.
