Until we can get over the hurdle of fear on this front then our budget is always going to be limited to ST sales, on the gate revenue and BTB type initiatives.

hmmm.....this season is going to be as good a chance as we have had in 10 years and now requires some decisive action on the recruitment front so that we give it our best shot as opposed to and end of season what might have been debate.
To me it would be worth investing in January for a real push at promotion. Also if we sign a key striker on a permanent deal in January, we would at the very least be putting down the building blocks for a great squad next season.

" We will be updating you during the next few weeks with an exciting new way to support Build The Budget. It won't cost you a penny but with your support will hopefully massively boost our total for January"

Sounds very interesting, wonder how we "build the budget " without costing us a penny?
Edit; just seen new thread about this ☺️

Totally agree with that because teams around us are starting to build some consistency to but scoring more, Tranmere aren't a million miles behind either, starting to get some good results.

Seems a couple of signings added to their squad and they look a lot better - hmmm this situation seems familiar.

The league is so tight that in reality anyone that put 7-8 wins together is going to be right in with a chance - we have to give ourselves as best a chance we can at it and that means spending all the budget pot in Jan and going for it.

Bigger crowds would then give us more in the pot anyway - Tranmere over 5,000 today.

Looks as thought we may need another 1 in Jan anyway as I understand there maybe 1 out this week. Not sure if contract cancelled by mutual agreement, out on loan but that's 1 that will need replacing.
