I'm a passionate trust member but this will tested come January I feel. If the club don't go for it big time this year, we might aswell not bother.

I think that 'go for it' and 'spend whats available in the kitty' are 2 slightly separate issues and I don't see the point in keeping money in the bank when it would be far better invested in the squad to give as the best chance we can.

Lets see what this 'new striker' bid story holds this week and then what ins/outs DK can manage in Jan.

Agree. We can only spend what we have and monies that won't impact on next seasons budget. We need to go for it but we don't want a 'win or bust' push the boat out. Regardless of how much we are capable of putting into the budget in January, there will be no guarantee of promotion and we don't want to be down here next term, with a less than top 5 budget.

We have to trust the board and DK that they will do their utmost to get the short term and llong term investment right, starting with a couple of quality additions in January or as soon as practical. I have confidence in them.

DK showed prudence (much against popular opinion) in the latter stages of last season to boost this season's budget and did wonders with that budget in the summer. The only dissapointment was missing out on a striker target, but we are better placed than we all expected, with monies available to strengthen for the run in.

All we can do is support BtB and turn out in big numbers each and every game through to January to guarantee to boost DK's chances f getting the right players with the quality we want.

This nobody is saying spend what we haven't got, my point was don't put label's on or excuses in the way with oh it's a 2 yr project, you have seize opportunities when they present themselves, we have a good opportunity this season at the moment, I'm sure the management aren't thinking I'm ok till next season, I get your point Giggety but Cheltenham went for it. Don't you feel embarrassed that part- time teams with 800 fans are trying to go up?

There wasn't much disagreement with DKs actions at the tail end of last season, the issue now will be not spending it on what we need.

I think that most can now see its not just the 'missed striker' we need now if we are to mount a serious challenge 2nd half of the season - IMO.

We are in a great position to kick on - something that we failed to do in the 2011-12 season - and it would be a shame to be talking of what might have been again.

DW you're asking fans to support BTB but if fans don't see us using it's to our advantage they will think what's the point.

A few points.

Maybe not the majority, but there were people on here, moaning and some even threatening not to re-new STs after DK loaned Rooney and Tilt out to save cash for this season.

We all know the board won't jeopardise the club's finances and will only spend money we can sensibly afford, so as a collective, fans, club and manager we need to increase that pot.

It probably is a 2 year plan, but accept we have got ourselves well placed and need to give our best shot possible. What I'm saying is give the board and DK the credit that we trust them with the budget, they more than most will be desperate to build on what has been achieved so far.

At my age, I can probably afford more than the average Wxm fan, so I had no issue donating money through a SO and I'm more than happy with how that has been spent. Performances haven't been great but DK has got us winning football matches, a concept we struggled with for the last couple of seasons.

I feel if Keates can’t get the player he has offered on then there will be more frustration. I for one thought that the whole point of build the budget was for use this season. Not to be kept for the 2 year plan. This is our best chance in 5 seasons with no outstanding teams.
