I think Red Hills point is asking people for money for a raffle to pay fines for a few braindead fans, but it wouldn't make any difference and I'm sure he will sell them I understand his anger though at those dragging our clubs name down.

All the raffle money raised is going to Build the Budget.

That's understood. The point remains though that the club must still pay the fine(s) and, eventually, one pot of money simply substitutes for whatever is available in the other. If there was enough money in the club's kitty for more players, we wouldn't need BTB. As there isn't enough - with money having to be used to pay fines for the actions of one or more stupid morons - it becomes necessary to have BTB instead.

Yes i know that's a good selling point to someone who don't support our club when their is lots of charity raffles at Xmas. But that wasn't my point he is saying we are paying into build the budget then having to pay fines for a few cockheads, it all comes out of the owners pockets US.

I get the link between raising money this month and paying a fine this month but you could link this to anything such as I'm not raising money because we should have made more money on pies or I think we are paying someone too much through to why do we let under 11's in for £1, it should be £2.

Yes it is rubbish we have to pay the fine for something that is illegal and there is an education / culture piece here that needs addressing for those taking part in it. Equally we are not alone in having this issue.

We have also been fined for going onto the pitch, something I find hard to rationalise as I very much doubt it was to challenge other fans but more in jubilation, something which surely is not a crime. Yes ideally you would not get over the advertising board but sometimes it happens. I disagree on this being a fine and would like to know what challenge we put together on this but will still sell tickets and contribute.

Yes BTB is there to increase the funds for the first team but equally it is not in isolation. The overall running costs / budget is behind this which I am sure has built into it an element for these and many other costs.

It will continue. Weve not seen the last of flares or people throwing things on the pitch.

The harsh reality of the situation is that the people who do it don't care about any fines the club get.

It's also clear that we are getting into more and more trouble with fines we as a club can ill afford. But equally that the fines will escalate and then it will no doubt get worse with suspended points deductions etc.

The mates of the people involved need to tell them to stop. I understand not grassing people up but we have to self police as a fanbase. Now.
Grass the idiots up before we have to play behind closed doors because of the behaviour of our dickhead fans.
Then how much would the club lose out by?
