Default How many to Aldershot?

Saturday will be my first away game of the season, due to various other commitments. Hopefully the pitch will be playable after the deluge of rain forecast over the next few days and the match will be on and in that case, how many are we likely to bring? Hopefully 500+? It's a long way but considering we're top of the league it may sway some to make the journey in the hope of beating one of our main promotion rivals!

I've been to Aldershot for the past 2 seasons now and it's a reasonably good away visit, apart from the well below average facilities at the ground itself (e.g. toilets very poor indeed). However there are two good pubs in walking distance, La Fontaine and the Crimea, so will hopefully be a good, friendly atmosphere prior to the game!

Pay on the gate. Not sure about parking.
I think about 500 or so as well, in which case though I'm not banking on it hopefully Aldershot will have the sense to open up the terrace behind the goal as well as just the uncovered bit in the corner plus the seats.
The stewarding and facilities (esp toilets) at the ground has left a lot to be desired in the past, and heaven alone knows how it complies with requirements for disabled/less mobile fans given the very steep hill in the park to get down to the away end.
But the pubs you name are pretty decent agreed.

There’s a car park opposite the Crimea, in walking distance from the ground. I agree if we bring a decent following they should open the terrace, I recall the stewarding was very haphazard last year though!

They opened the terrace up for Tranmere, so I see no reason why they won't do it for us.

I think 500 will turn up as well.

Riccardo, I live about 4 miles from the ground and according to the BBC forecast apart from some heavy rain tonight it's supposed to be dry for the rest of the week. Since we've had hardly any rain since Monday I can't see any threat to the game.

I'm hoping for a good game - top attack in division against top defence. Last Saturday was the Shots first clean sheet in two months so I'm hopeful of a draw. Certainly we can't fail to put in a better performance last season when we were dreadful and the Orange one made three changes at half time. COYR

350, worst away end and facilities in the division.

Don't know about worse than Barrow but certainly the worst in the NL in the south of England (and I've been to most of them in the last 10 years following the lads). It was really bad two years ago when they totally underestimated our level of support. I wrote to the club secretary to complain as I believe others did at the time, but didn't get the courtesy of a reply. I don't expect it will be much better this year but as it's virtually a "home game" for me I'll be there.
