Default Re: Aldershot away ratings

We didn’t play terribly, think we played them on a going day and they played with a lot of confidence after the first goal. We created a few chances but looked overrun in midfield; think Wright possibly had his worst game for us. Wedgebury looked a little immobile and Kelly and Rutherford were largely anonymous. Defence was reasonably strong but they carved us open on numerous occasions and we couldn’t cope-no glaring errors just poor reactions and positioning for both goals. Holroyd tried hard and had a few nice touches but Reid was extremely poor and glad he’s gone. Boden and Massanka just aren’t up to it but everyone knows this is a problem area for us. We never looked like getting back into the game bar a few counter attacks which was disappointing but hopefully there won’t be too many times where we are completely outplayed.

Carragher was no worse or better than any of the other players .In actual fact he constantly showed for the ball when a couple of others went missing and weren't up for the fight .

The Scott Boden situation is bizarre . Reid's loan supposedly finishes today and he looks short of confidence . This showed again today when he was one on one with their keeper and completely panicked . It was a shocking miss .

I thought Boden would start . At half time I am thinking that he has got to come on as we are 2 down and urgently need goals ! He eventually came on in injury time !

Boden was supposedly our number one signing and I would guess he is out top earner . He must be completely demotivated following today's game . If he didn't get a chance today he never will and it's pointless keeping him if DK is not going to use him .
If Boden is demotivated nobody is to blame but himself . He was the same at Inverness.

A wake-up call it may be but we're so dreadfully short of effective attacking players nothing will change anytime soon.

Its a worry DK played Reid again after his last 2 performances. Doesnt seem interested.
Should have sent him back a long time ago. Why he extended the deal we will never know. I tell you one thing we should never be playing players if there not up to the task contractual obligations or not

We are still in a very useful position but the Shots have seemingly been quite ruthless in exposing our many weaknesses. Must win on Saturday and then hope DK brings in these much needed replacements. Otherwise, a great opportunity will evaporate and we face more frustration outside the FL. Time to be bold and brave, and not assume Lady Luck will fill the void.

Radio Cymru said we had nothing at all to offer going forward, we haven’t, and until Dean sorts this out we ain’t doing anything.

As has been said for most of the season. January now becomes the most crucial period since we have been down here.

No pressure Dean.

Default Re: Aldershot away ratings

Dunn - 6, couldn’t be helped with the goals but otherwise ok

Roberts - 5, exposed by pacy wingers, limited going forward due to this
Manny - 6, not as solid as usual, good passing by Aldershot had him and Pearson running in circles, some good recovery tackles though
Pearson - as above
Carra - 5, as with Roberts, exposed, nowhere to be seen when they put the first goal away, still made an effort to get forward

Rutherford - 5, don’t remember him doing a lot, right or wrong
Wright - 3, poor game, completely ran over
Wedgebury - 6, ok gane, fairly solid
Kelly - 4, ineffectual, all I can say

Holroyd - 5, couldn’t do much, feeding off scraps
Reid - 1, absolute garbage, no effort, missed a sitter, glad to see the back of him

No point rating the subs. None made any sort of difference.
