Boden is clearly a decent footballer and a run in the side could see some goals. Decent performance against a thuggish outfit.

Holdroyd/Boden partnership looked good in the first half, as long as we keep the ball on the floor. Wedgbury was very good at times, Kelly gives the ball away too much and Manny was MOM.

Is that the end of the Aldershot love-in?

We passed it more than we have done, esp first half.

Sorry about that.

Cant believe Christian smith is still playing at this level.

Their number 2 was a good player though.

I also gave Boden my MOTM, not much game time, but some lovely touches today.

Boden MOM ? That’s probably the strangest thing I have ever seen written in the English language. He had his best game today but I would still only give him 6 out of 10. Offered no threat in the area whatsoever , just some nice tippy tappy touches.

Overall it was a prettier performance with some really good movement , but we were over powered in midfield and Maidenhead created a lot of really good chances as a result.

I thought today was better than usual although they were not that good a side.
We still gave them far too much of the ball and a better team would have punished us.

Thought Mackreth was poor - lack of pace and strength. His assist was a basic pass that even he couldn't mess up.

I thought Carra has been a better LB than Jennings recently - even though I am not sure whether it only went in because it hit their player. Jennings struggled to pass to a man in red, especially 2nd half.

3 points and onwards to 2 tough games which will be big tests of our current quality.

I'd forgotten about that guy until today. What a moron. Didn't he have a go at us on Twitter once and get suspended by Saunders?

Disagree about Jennings. He was superb. Bar the most pointless booking in history.

He defended well, the blocking of a shot with his chest on the six yard line just after half time being the highlight. He also scored his second goal of the season.
