Comparing a December crowd to the opening crowd is always a false comparison as the opening game of the season is rarely matched until the latter stages if there are issues to be decided.

Crowds always slip in the weeks before Christmas. I missed for the first time this season due to other commitments. Bet we still had the best, or one of the best, crowds of the day as the Christmas Effect will be starting to hit all clubs. (Haven't had time to check the stats yet)

Ah but in August we weren't top of the league and half the world was supposedly on holiday !

Traditionally the last Saturday before xmas is the one that really drops - 'black Saturday' - with a game boxing day which usually has the opposite effect and brings people out of the woodwork then Dover is the game to really try and exploit and encourage fans to.

Over 3,900 fans for any game at this level is exceptional, especially given the lack of away support for most games.

It's great that we can be disappointed with a crowd of almost 4k.

We've been 2 divisions higher and had less and thats with an away support 5-10 times more than today.

98 point season was an average of 3,800.

Attendances will start improving in Feb.

Dissappointing turnout considering league position and BTB boost the crowd, should be getting nearer 4500 to 5000 really. This would really help towards deans kitty.
