So that's 3 of us from that match who are still going 34 years later. How many thousands of pounds have we put into the club between us since? And that's just 3.

Nothing to lose is there. And do it in January before the rise of attendances which will come with our promotion push anyway.

Growing the membership and fan base does have some different elements.

Getting the schoolkids in and 'hooked' is 1 aspect and club membership is another.

There needs to be 2 distinct WST sub-groups that looks at each of these and then delivers with a 'big outcomes exercise'

And me as well, from that match (a lot of us obv a similar age lol!), am in London now so don't go to home games as much any more, but the club have had a lot of money out of me down the years; you need sometimes to speculate to accumulate?

What is downside to having say one game a year free for kids? Surely nothing is possibly lost by doing that and we are in a market were we have to compete for young fans, especially with all the huge clubs nearby (and Stoke!).

Stoke do this very well. My friend lives there whos a teacher and hes not a football fan. One of his sons has severe behavioural problems and the school he is at gets regular tickets free from the club. On top of that they give out a lot of free tickets to the school in the area. Result of that now is that my non football friend is slowly becoming a Stoke fan and so is his son.

I'm assuming both the original comment and your reply are said in jest, because believe me Wrexham 1 Halifax 0 was hardly a thriller!

Anyone else on here remember Mr Roberts from Borras Park Juniors annual school trip to see Everton play?
