Here is a bit of footage of him - a striker born 23.08.94 mixed origin German / Ghanan.

Looks a big handy lad - rumours circulating he is actually training with us.

Also, purely as we are playing them next week - there was no sign of Gimme Toure in the Macclesfield Town squad yesterday although Jalal started and Durrell came on as a second half sub.

Anybody else got information on Ferdinand - where has he been playing recently ?

Good detective work whoever found this out.

Has played for Farnborough and Bognor in the UK. A Latvian top division side (playing in some Europa league qualifiers) and some regional teams in Germany.

For those who can't be bothered to Google this is what West Brom said about him when he was on trial there:

They reported: "Albion's coaching staff will examine a video of tonight's match and potentially field Takyi in another game before deciding whether to hand him a deal" before adding: "He's certainly got off on the right foot".

The young forward is a giant, standing at 6 feet and 5 inches, and, as expected, he was fantastic in the air and used his size and strength to superb effect

His flicks and soft touches were more reminiscent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic than they were of Peter Crouch, which will excite the fans hugely.

The 22-year-old was born in Africa before moving to Germany. He has played in the Bundesliga Two and for Latvian side Spartaks in the Europa League qualifiers.
