In my book (strikers union), only 1 chance would be classed as 1 on 1. I think it was the 1st chance and maybe minutes after coming on, the 2nd was a flick with outside of his foot in a very tight angle and the 2nd was a miss control of the ball in the channel between centre back & left back with Kelly, I think running into the box unmarked. It was a few months back so memory fades.

It is strange we have 3 strikers who have not got amongst the goals, as I would imagine all 3 have scored goals previously. It can happen to even the best strikers but the difference is the better ones are unfazed by it and keep getting into the right areas. It's not about missing chances it's about not getting chances in the first place.

Probably fair. Although he should have scored with at least one of those chances!

As for our strikers, not counting Miller we've only got three and Holroyd is almost on a goal every two games, which is excellent. Of the other two Boden has scored decent returns elsewhere (Inverness excepted) but I do think he needs more games before he's written off completely. So pleased he had a decent game the other day. I don't think Massanka has ever really scored anywhere he's been but of course he's only very young at the start of his career. Look at the record of Louis Moult when he was going out on loan and in the years at Northampton and Bradford pre Nuneaton. It's a bit much to expect him to be banging them in. In fact the only young striker I can think of we've had who has scored a lot is Matt Derbyshire.

Bury can’t have him until January hence the move here.

Boro fans I've been talking to today, seem nervous to see him go out on loan and a bit peeved he's not on loan to a 'proper league' club, as opposed to us.

Assured them he'll be more than looked after if he's as talented as he seems. He'll see the passion from the away end at Macc on Saturday.

Good luck George!

Didn't we beat M'Boro last time we played them?
