The most exciting and atmospheric games I remember over many years did not have any need for these devices. Although there was a revolver fired in the air periodically on one occasion in a European away game!

An improvement in the product offering not dodgy devices is the only real way to increase the atmospheric and excitement levels.

I totally agree we are not being treated equitably and it is difficult for the club to control the perpetrators etc. but equally it is costing us. Any decent fan is going to heed the request not to use them.

There is no purpose in defending their use in the current circumstances of the club, and arguably at all.

What has happened has happened. Punishment in train cannot be avoided. I suggest we just let sleeping dogs lie.

Looking forward though, perpetrators need to be "shopped" for the good of the club.

ardiff City manager Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following his sending-off during the 2-2 draw against Reading on Monday.

The 69-year-old was sent off by referee Steve Martin in the 78th minute, as Cardiff came back from two goals down at the Madejski Stadium.

Warnock said afterwards he thought his dismissal "was a travesty".

He has until 18:00 GMT on Friday 15 December to respond.

New since 2011, "All matters where the penalty can include sporting sanctions will be dealt with by the [English] FA, including doping and off-the-field issues." https://www.theguardian.com/football...ardiff-swansea

So the FAW will still have some jurisdiction over the Welsh teams in the Football League.

How much did we get fined for the fireworks display for our 150th anniversary match?

The firework display that took place in a controlled environment on the Kop well away from any fans with prior warning that it was taking place, with the permission and advice of safety officers?

Nothing of course.

Ridiculous comparison.
