Default Why isn't more effort put into merchandise?

The only real merchandise I can see that isn't generic that is new-ish is the wallets with all the pictures on it. I have offered my services to the club before to do merchandise for them only to be told "We have someone who does it for us already"

There is so much more ideas that the fans can do that the club could sell, I just think there is a market out there for cool designs that don't look like products that every club has just with our badge on it instead of theirs.

There are some great independent people out there doing work that the club could bring on board to help them with designs that have proven sales like Hallyinc and Spiritof58 I even saw an awesome design the other day by whoever did the Drawing the 92 paintings of our ground.

The club shop and Eagles meadow seem to cover most of the elements between them.
The club shop appearing to concentrate on kits etc. and more general stuff then at EM.

I was looking for a Xmas jumper but nothing in the club shop before the game and wasn't prepared to go over to EM before the game.

Duvet covers and pillow case sets would be good, I was in the club shop this morning getting my tickets for tomorrow but didn't get to look around.

Do we do these? My youngest would love them.

If not it would be simple to do, pillowcase could have the iconic Mold Road Stand on it and the duvet cover a shot from slightly above, looking down the pitch to the Tech End, or it could have the club crest.

Small rugs for kids bedrooms and waste paper bins too.

Would have been great for Christmas.

We'll have a merchandise budget and there's only so much you can do with it. All sorts to take into account when deciding what to put in the range, and I think both stores look very good and have a decent selection for a Club our size.
Not sure on the toy artic lorries mind....

Spirit of 58 have done for the club a football shirt and bucket hat over the summer and I’m sure they were working on a bobble hat for the winter.

I'd love a toy lorry. You've got the Coca-Cola lorry, the PDC darts lorries, why not have a Wrexham AFC lorry? Great idea.

P. S. Dear Santa, I've been fairly good this year (ish). Ta.

There may be some merit in working alongside localised “cottage industry” type businesses where bulk ordering isn’t a priority or major consideration... rather like the Club’s relationships with Wrexham Lager and Village Bakery.

Having some experience in merchandise through a previous employment, I would point out that unless you can afford to speculate on stock, inevitably, you will always end up “fire fighting” against minimum purchase figures, customer expectation, innovative products and... the size of your wallet.

I have to say that there’s a huge amount of junk available out there... cheap and tacky, generic, mass produced tat at attractive prices... but if you don’t move it all, it can be soul destroying.

Get it right and you’re laughing... the art is to bring in relevant, attractive, current and decent quality stock to ensure that supporters will buy it. If it’s sourced locally, you can tick a couple of boxes straight away.
