He's been banned for 3 years before looking on facebook. If he genuinely went on the pitch to avoid getting hurt from them metal bars then its very harsh. But if he's gone on the pitch because he's got a bit excited then its his own fault, especially having previous.

That's a very strange theory. Nobody should expect to be shoved forward onto the pitch. Also you're forgetting that the rest of the stand was full and they had to open the front few rows, so it's not like they chose to sit there.

The one I felt the worse for was that lad who had been going for years and never had any bother, lost his rag and gesticulated to the ref at home to Oxford United in 2009 and got a ban for it!

That day we were only a year or so into our non league stint but it just felt like one of those days, nothing going right and everything going wrong, we are still in this league all these years later. The miracle for me is that we've still got such loyal support, maybe this season we will get rewarded for it!!!

Be interested to know whether he was represented. The FSF have a list of solicitors who specialise in this type of work; always pays to seek advice.

It will be a five year ban from all grounds; he will not be allowed into an area around the Caeras when we are at home; he may be banned from travelling to any townat a time that we are away there; he will have to surrender his passport when Wales are away etc etc.

Get proper advice!

There was no where else to sit/stand. The group I went with have never been in trouble with the police but had to stand in the 2nd row. Luckily none of us got pushed onto the pitch or you'd be saying it was our own faults too.

I was right by all of this and the club and their stewards were at fault allowing our supporters into what was a dangerous area and not allowing more room to be made to the other side of the stands seating areas . I think that Tranmere were surprised by now many of us turned up and bottled it. As for the fan receiving the ban ,i cant and don't want to say anything about his "track record" but did anyone ask the other Wrexham fans what happened or are the powers that be just relying on video or stewards evidence ? I would appeal or grow a beard !

I know the guy in question very well. He is a huge Wrexham
Supporter and I've spoken to him today. He is absolutely gutted. It's a very harsh sentence for what actually occurred.
