Have you even considered what’s actually happened here? Unless I’ve missed it you haven’t even acknowledged what’s happened and I note that you’ve failed to respond to people who were actually there. Strange isn't it that a multitude of fans either have personal knowledge of this person or are easily able to identify him , whereas no one, repeat no one , has any idea as to the identity of the person or persons responsible for throwing the smoke bombs that have cost the club and with it the fans a significant amount of money.

Anyone who thinks a lad who celebrated a goal by dancing around on the pitch deserves a 5year ban, is a total buffoon and should be seeking immediate support from the NHS, to enable them to remove their heads from their sanctimonious arses.

Hang on, if this person fell or was pushed onto the pitch, (as has been suggested by people who were there) he would surely have been helped back into the stand and stewards would have seen the incident first hand.
But if as you are suggesting, he danced around on the pitch then that would point to a deliberate act.
So, what's the correct version of events?

Personally i think going on the pitch should remain a punishable offence, players and officials need to be kept safe. Whether or not 5 years is fair is very much up to debate.
I was on holiday for the Tranmere game so didn't see this incident. What I don't know about this incident is that when he was pushed onto the pitch against his will did he simply stand up and quickly and quietly get back into the away end or did he jump around celebrating the goal on the pitch? If the first then video evidence / witness statements should be enough to launch an appeal, if he jumped around and celebrated on the pitch then he has no defence at all.

I was at the back but I can see how he was pushed, but even if he wasn't and he decided to have a little dance, 5 year ban? Really?

I was at this game and I agree if he ended up on the pitch by exuberance and being pushed then this ban isn't right, but if he jumped up and down on the pitch celebrating it would probably be viewed as incitement towards the home fans, unfortunately that's the PC country we live in now, either way the ban is extreme unless they have taken the previous offence into account.

I also agree with the quotes of everyone witnessed that but not one has said they know who through the smoke bombs.

Having said this the stand is a seating area and we all stood up so the ending up on the pitch is no surprise.

I agree about fans being pushed by stewards into an unsafe area Tranmere should be Fined for that, as one elderly gent was hurt because of this.

But either way 5 year ban is OTT.

How do you know they haven’t?
