Same age as Takyi who we signed from a lower league. So we do take punts. It's just that fans don't like them coming from below and giving them a chance. Unless they sign for a higher league club and then they ask why we didn't take a punt on that player.

Me too - I mean joint second is a really good reason to ‘worry’ . Good job we are not mid table as in previous years you would have topped yourself.

Struggling to fathom criticism over a player that people:

a) most likely hadn't heard of
b) have no clue if we did monitor them or not

The more this happens the more I feel the club are scared to take such punts to appease the fans, just like the Mills appointment by getting the popular choice in.

Kai Edwards was a known entity to us, apart from him, who else have we even signed/been linked with at that level.


Anyway, for those who are impressed by any players at lower levels you can let the club know and this will get passed on to the management team.

A full time scout is an absolute must for us moving forward, someone should be signed up immediately in fact.

Sam Finley?? Doing well at Flyde and gave us the run around over two games. I know he was here on loan but i always though he could have done a job for us and looked a tidy player. Was that a Mills decision not to sign him?

Agree we need a scout system setting up.
