Re: Bristol City
Huddersfield, Cardiff, Swansea, Hull, Wigan etc we were in better shape than these clubs when I grew up, its hard to think we can ever get those times back looking at their stadiums and revenues. Actually its down right depressing.
Who is the most successful fans ran club of all time in the uk? I think getting back in the league and sustaining it will be difficult without some serious luck.

Re: Bristol City
You're right. FGR at the bottom of league 2, only won 3 at home, 5 in total all season. Half the fans have stopped attending home matches so there's only 72.5 fans and a dog watching now, sad times.

If by some miracle we eventually go up and the following season we are having one similar to FGR rock bottom hardly a win at home, do you think our gates will hold up then? Or drop down to the old 2.500/3000 as we would be heading straight back to square one. Posted via mobile theme |

He should have stuck to being an Eco warrier and left football to the ones who really care. FGR sounds like an american president rather than a football team. |

FGR are in rugby country with a visionary ownership who will have to be prepared to pump much more money in before they achieve success. Milton Keynes Dons are a good example - it has taken many years of serious underpinning and still they have no heritage but they are getting there and are here to stay - whether we like it (and I dont because one of my best mates is AFC Wimbledon the real dons) or not. With our fan base we could of course survive in L2 if not L1 but lets hopefully get there first and take our chances. |
