Dunn 7: Needed a decent game today and got it. One excellent save first half from a shot which was destined for the bottom corner. Controlled his area well enough thereafter.

Roberts 7: Covered well as the last man on various occasions and was generally sound defensively. Got forward a few times.

Manny 8: Solid after taking an early knock. Won most headers and reading of the game was spot on.

Pearson 8: See above without the early knock. Few darts forward too!

Jennings 7: Decent enough. Hesitated when he could have crossed a few times. Went close with a right footed effort.

Wedge 6: Worked hard but some truely awful passing at times.

Kelly 7: Some lovely pieces of skill. Battled well but played too deep to influence the game. Set piece quality was a mixed bag.

Rutherford 6: Typical Ruthers

Miller 7: Ran the channels well and caused them problems with his pace. Lack of quality service.

Boden 6: Some decent touches. Looked knackered late on

Holroyd 6: Not his best game.

Apart from Holroyd who i'd bump up a mark i'd agree with those

And an extra mark for Wedgebury. His quality on the ball could be better but he didn't half cover some miles and is a big reason why we can now stand up to teams like Dover.

Smith 8 of course
Pearson 8 motm really strong
Jennings 7 thought he did well. Always attacking and no cover from Holroyd.

Wedgbury 6 good defensively, poor passing
Kelly 6 ok
Rutherford 6 busy but not much going forward, good defensively
Holroyd 5 out of position

Boden 6 some nice touches but bullied into submission by their brutes

Miller 7 some nice touches and quite strong, but needs time to settle into the team, which he wont get. Shame.

The Rock of the 2 CBs was solid, Roberts had a better game and Jennings more effective 2nd half and so unlucky not to score. It bent away right at the end

CM very ineffective really, Wedgbury sheer panic at times and Kelly just hasn't got the legs for 90 mins. Boden blowing like a steam train last 20 and should have been subbed not Miller - IMO.

Creativity in final 3rd is poor with Holroyd, Boden, Rutherford all wasting great positions first half.

Going to be crunch time come Jan and a bit of extra quality needed.
